Summary

Welcome to Little Bridge, one of the smallest, most beautiful islands in the Florida Keys。

Jo Wright always swore she’d never step foot on Little Bridge Island—not as long as her nemesis, bestselling author Will Price, is living there。

Then Jo’s given an offer she can’t refuse: an all-expense-paid trip to speak and sign at the island’s first-ever book festival。

Even though arrogant Will is the last person Jo wants to see, she could really use the festival’s more-than-generous speaking fee。 She’s suffering from a crippling case of writer’s block on the next instalment of her bestselling children’s series, and her father needs financial help as well。

Then Jo hears that Will is off-island on the set of the film of his next book。 Hallelujah!

But when she arrives on Little Bridge, Jo is in for a shock: Will is not only at the book festival, but seems genuinely sorry for his past actions—and more than willing not only to make amends but prove to Jo that he’s a changed man。

Things seem to be looking up—until disaster strikes, causing Jo to wonder: Do any of us ever really know anyone?

This was a very fun romance! I love Meg Cabot's books, so how could I resist an island romance featuring a children's book author? I had not read the first two in the series -- this one stands alone fine since each book seems to focus on different people on the island。 I just wish I could buy Jo's Kitty books for my library -- I know the kids would love them!! Highly recommended for children's librarians (and other lovers of children's literature) who enjoy romance books。eARC provided by publish This was a very fun romance! Oof。 This book just did not do it for me。 The cat puns were cringy。 The protagonist was so rude in the beginning。 The love interest didn’t even say a word to her until over 30% in。 I’m so bummed because I loved the first two! But this one didn’t click with me。 But I absolutely love Meg Cabot and will always read her stuff。

No Words by Meg Cabot is the story about two authors, a public humiliation, a book festival, and forgiveness。 It was such fun to read another book set on Little Bridge Island in the Florida Keys within the realm of the public professional lives of authors! The pacing of the novel was perfect and it made for a book that I read over the course of a few hours。 I was most impressed how the characters came to life immediately, and there are some repeat characters from the series! Meg Cabot’s No Words is “purrrfectly” delightful。 What a great way to end summer reading。 The characters, the setting, the enemies to lovers storyline and the friendships seen throughout are great。 Definitely one I’ll read again, and one I’ll have on my school shelf。Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me the chance to read an advanced copy of the novel in exchange for a review。

This is the third book of the Little Bridge Island series。 You didn't have to read the others to enjoy this story。 No Words is a light and easy Rom-Com。 I haven't read Meg Cabot since The Princess Diaries era。 No Words reminded me of her other works, geared towards YA to adult audiences。 I liked the slow build from enemies to lovers, as well as the peek into an authors world。 What didn't work for me was the inner cat monologue, it felt cheesy。 I also still want to know WHY Will said those things This is the third book of the Little Bridge Island series。 You didn't have to read the others to enjoy this story。 No Words is a light and easy Rom-Com。 I haven't read Meg Cabot since The Princess Diaries era。 No Words reminded me of her other works, geared towards YA to adult audiences。 I liked the slow build from enemies to lovers, as well as the peek into an authors world。 What didn't work for me was the inner cat monologue, it felt cheesy。 I also still want to know WHY Will said those things about Jo, as that was left open ended。Thank you to #Netgalley for my ARC 。。。more

I’ve read every Little Bridge novel, and I was so excited for this one。 The premise is incredibly cute, but that’s about it。I had so much hope for this book, but I just couldn’t get into it。 The main character is a children’s author who cusses in the style of a cat。 Literally。 She says “Whiskers!” instead of cursing。 It was grating and embarrassing for everyone involved。 Authors writing about authors seems to be a hard thing to do。 So much of this was just not believable。 I understand authors ha I’ve read every Little Bridge novel, and I was so excited for this one。 The premise is incredibly cute, but that’s about it。I had so much hope for this book, but I just couldn’t get into it。 The main character is a children’s author who cusses in the style of a cat。 Literally。 She says “Whiskers!” instead of cursing。 It was grating and embarrassing for everyone involved。 Authors writing about authors seems to be a hard thing to do。 So much of this was just not believable。 I understand authors have the ability to make a lot of money and become famous, but the idea that two authors being pictured together becomes the number one trending topic on Twitter seems more like an idealized fantasy than reality。 Jo and Will have a wonderful story that is hidden behind way too much fluff about social media and fandom。 The novel itself feels less about Jo and Will and more about the dramatized life of authors as celebrities。Also, there’s a throw away line about Timothee Chalamet and Harry Styles being spotted on a date that felt like a random fan fiction insert that I just can’t get behind。 Sorry。 。。。more

No Words by Meg Cabot is enjoyable but not my favorite Cabot work。 It is another for the Little Bridge Island series, and for some reason I feel this novel did not hit it's mark quite like Cabot's previous adult romance novels。 The classic "don't judge a book by its cover" trope is at play as the protagonist, Jo Wright, is using her one bad experience with Will Price a few years back as proof that he is (and always will be) a bad guy。 Cabot slowly unravels the characters interactions with each o No Words by Meg Cabot is enjoyable but not my favorite Cabot work。 It is another for the Little Bridge Island series, and for some reason I feel this novel did not hit it's mark quite like Cabot's previous adult romance novels。 The classic "don't judge a book by its cover" trope is at play as the protagonist, Jo Wright, is using her one bad experience with Will Price a few years back as proof that he is (and always will be) a bad guy。 Cabot slowly unravels the characters interactions with each other in present day, but I found the pacing to be soooo slow and the conversations to be way too predictable for a seasoned author。 This one, sadly, was a miss for me。 Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow for an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for an honest opinion。 。。。more

I received a digital copy of this book from Edelweiss for review purposes。I enjoyed the first book in the series, didn’t like the second one as much, so I was a bit hesitant to request this one。 The characters were easy to like, authors at a book festival, but the reading of a book within a book? It was odd, and including excerpts from that book felt somewhat like filler。 I wanted more of Will and Jo。 I think I’m over this series。

Ok, I really wanted to like this book, but it just wasn’t for me。 I was left disappointed。 The overall synopsis seems a bit like Beach Read but isn’t very well done。 Jo Wright is a children’s author for a series about a teenager cat。 She is invited to a children’s book festival where she runs into her mortal enemy Will, a fellow author, who dissed her books publicly year before。This enemies to lovers book had so much potential but I did not see the chemistry between the two at all。 They don’t ev Ok, I really wanted to like this book, but it just wasn’t for me。 I was left disappointed。 The overall synopsis seems a bit like Beach Read but isn’t very well done。 Jo Wright is a children’s author for a series about a teenager cat。 She is invited to a children’s book festival where she runs into her mortal enemy Will, a fellow author, who dissed her books publicly year before。This enemies to lovers book had so much potential but I did not see the chemistry between the two at all。 They don’t even talk to each other at all until halfway through the book。 I wish there had been more about their first meeting in the green screen room just before the public shaming event that showed their initial chemistry so that there was more of a basis for their instant love later in the book。 The ending also felt rushed and the reader has to infer the ending to an extent。There were some scenes in this that were well done, and the side characters were great, but overall I just didn’t like this one much。 。。。more
